Grubbits readers are well aware that throughout the years that fan-favorite foods have crossed over to other food aisles. The Flintstones’ Pebbles cereal is no stranger to food merging. Now you will be screaming for Pebbles ice-cream in both Cocoa Pebbles and Fruity Pebbles flavors. It is funny that many kids today grew up on Flintstones’ vitamins and Pebbles cereal but never saw an episode of The Flintstones. Their only contact with the characters is at the supermarket level.

McDonald’s: The ice cream machines are McBroken

If it is not broken, do not fix it. This is not the case for McDonald’s ice-cream machines. They seem to be broken continuously. Roughly ten percent of McFlurry or McSundae ice-cream machines are not working each day at McDonald’s. Software developer Rashiq Zahid uses the interface of McDonald’s ordering API to check if their ice cream machine is working. It is assumed if no orders are made, it is safe to conclude the machines are not working. Rashiq’s app is called McBroken.

I am at a loss for words but yet intrigued by French’s mustard ice-cream. Coohaus Ice Cream and French’s have partnered to bring this unlikely ice-cream flavor. Too bad it is only offered in Los Angles, New York City, and the Hamptons. The good folks of French’s have an online recipe if you are not in the vicinity of these cities.
