Fun Fact: In 1908 the tea bag was accidentally invented in America, when New York tea merchant, Thomas Sullivan, sent samples of tea to customers in small silken bags without instructions for use. Tea drinkers immersed the samples in hot water – bags and all – and the much-loved tea bag was born. Isn’t it interesting how things are invented?
