Definition of Arnold Palmer: A cold beverage of iced tea mixed with lemonade

    Arnold Palmer according to Merriam-Webster.com is the ice tea and lemonade beverage combination. The first use of the term was coined in 1991. Arnold Palmer created the combo drink in the sixties and years later asked a waitress in Palm Springs to mix ice tea and lemonade and bring it to him. The savvy waitress associated the name with the drink and the Arnold Palmer drink gained popularity and now is in the dictionary.

      Move over Johnnie and let Jane take over. Black Label is releasing a limited run of Jane Walker whiskey bottles. This the first time a female version of the Johnnie Walker brand has been replaced. Will more women gravitate to the whiskey maker with the makeover?
      This in not the first time a company has replaced an iconic character to please the female buyer. This is just a temporary change to the “striding man” logo to lure women into the fold. The release coincides with Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, which is on March 8. Will women stop or will they keep walking?

The Kinder Ice Cream Sandwich, the Kinder Ice Cream Stick and the Kinder Bueno Ice Cream Cone will be making a chilly reception to the delight of Kinder Bueno fans this summer.

            McDonald’s Happy Meal: Say goodbye to your cheeseburger

              McDonald’s announced this week that by 2022, cheeseburgers won’t be part of the menu for the kids’ Happy Meals anymore. The company wants to “reinforce responsible marketing to children.” The cheeseburger will still be available but not bundled with the Happy Meal. Are they saying that cheeseburgers are not healthy? 15% of McDonald’s customers come in to order happy meals. There sure will be a bunch of unhappy kids out there. The responsibility will now fall on the parents to make the wrong food choice for their kids. Or is this just another veiled money grab to go outside the Happy Meal combo to pay more for the cheeseburger?
