Blue Jays fans might want to check out Blue Wave, a new beer collaboration between Mill Street Brewery and the Blue Jays. The team is already on a hot start. They will certainly tear the season into the smoldering hot days of summer. What better way to catch the wave than with Blue Jays’ Blue Wave beer from Mill Street Brewery. The beer packaging was designed by Mosaic North America. Let’s hope Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the boys don’t disappoint this year or will be drinking away our blues this year.
“Initially, we wanted our beer to tell a story and were enamored with the quirky, fan-initiated tradition seen at Blue Jays home games,” said Mosaic creative director Dave Watson. “But then we thought the idea of ‘the wave’ could represent so much more. We saw it as a wave of fandom engulfing the country from coast to coast.”
“From a design perspective, the color, inspired by the very popular new “baby blues” uniforms, bespoke wordmark, and literal wave created using baseball threading creates a visual language that will work as hard on a shelf as it will on social,” Watsons added.
