Who created Rice Krispies Treats?

Can you believe that Rice Krispies Treats have only been introduced commercially on 15 January 1995 by Kellogg’s?

The original recipe was created by Kellogg’s employees, Malitta Jensen and Mildred Day in 1939. Since then mothers and other companies made the treat till Kellogg’s decided to mass market the treats.

Fun Fact: The First recipe for Rice Krispies Treats appeared on a 1941 cereal box. Kellogg’s trademarked the name Rice Krispies Treats in 1940.
