Krispy Kreme releases new Halloween-themed doughnuts

Halloween just got a little creepier at Krispy Kreme and that is a good thing. Their Halloween-themed doughnuts are sure to put a smile on faces and help charity at the same time. Starting Oct. 10. Krispy Kreme will offer a $1 “Sweet-or-Treat” dozen with the purchase of a dozen doughnuts.

“2020 has brought enough spookiness. Face it, we’re all scared out. That’s why we’re bringing nothing but sweets for Halloween!”

    • Frank Monster doughnut, filled with Original Kreme, dipped in green icing and decorated like Frankenstein with icing, sprinkles and pretzel bolts.
    • Drake Monster doughnut, with raspberry filling, dipped in purple icing and decorated with icing and sugar eyes to resemble a vampire.
    • Wolfie Monster doughnut, an Original Glazed doughnut dipped in chocolate icing and decorated to look like a werewolf with Chocolate Kreme, a sugar piece face and cinnamon sugar cereal ears, according to Delish.

“Instead of asking for sweet treats, let’s give them away to all the neighbors, family, and friends we appreciate so much. It’s not a normal Halloween, but that doesn’t mean we can’t make it a sweet one,” – Chief Marking Officer for Krispy Kreme.

Fun Fact: In 1955 the Krispy Kreme (KK) logo, designed by architect Benny Dinkins, was trademarked. The red, white and green logo shape is reminiscent of a bowtie and therefore is often referred to as simply ‘the bowtie’.
