Heinz is launching a Terry’s Chocolate Orange mayo

I have only one word, seriously. As mash up foods go, Heinz and Terry’s Chocolate Orange mayo is up there. Heinz recommends spreading the condiment on toast, brioche, crumpets and pancakes – and even adding it to Christmas desserts. It will not be available in North America. The United Kingdom can keep this one.

Is this why we are having food supply issues? Are giant companies such as Heinz flooding the market with limited run of weird foods nobody wants? Now you can have Mayo with Terry’s Chocolate Orange. Now which executive is the cat’s meow that will get a giant year-end bonus this holiday? I am running out of cream cheese to have this monstrosity spread on my bagel. There, you got the attention from the internet, please made foods that we enjoy. I think I will pass. There are only 200 jars of the exclusive condiment available. This is great for a 3-day internet fame campaign.

What people are saying…

Laure Gentil, marketing controller at Terry’s Chocolate Orange said: “At Terry’s we are proud to offer a large variety of formats and flavours to be eaten all-year round when it comes to our delicious chocolate orange: from the iconic orange ball that we all know and love, to our sharing bags and handy bars to eat on the go… and now Heinz [Seriously] Good Terry’s Chocolate Orange Mayo!

“We always say that you can never get bored with Terry’s Chocolate Orange, and our new collaboration with Heinz epitomises this.

“Since Terry’s Chocolate Orange launch in 1932 we have never stopped innovating, growing, and launching new formats and flavours to delight our loyal fans, and we are proud to be continuing this Christmas with our mayo mash up, which works perfectly as a delicious spread.”

Maria Jantchi, Sauces Senior Brand Manager, Heinz, said: “Here at Heinz, we are always innovating, and love creating fun new limited-edition products that we know our fans will love. So, this year we set out to create the most Christmassy Mayo that we could think of. And who better to partner with for that than the iconic Terry’s Chocolate Orange, everyone’s favourite Christmas treat? And so, after months of development, we are absolutely delighted to be launching the world’s first-ever Chocolate Orange Mayo, just in time for Christmas.

“We only ever use quality ingredients with our [Seriously] Good Mayo and our new limited-edition Heinz [Seriously] Good Terry’s Chocolate Orange Mayo is no exception.”

Fun Fact:

Did you know that the first Terry’s product was actually a chocolate apple? The brand was originally named Terry’s Chocolate Apple and for a few years, there were no chocolate oranges in sight! Then in 1932, the Terry’s Chocolate Orange was born, revolutionizing the chocolate industry and becoming an immediate hit.
