Bob Odenkirk to join the cast of ‘The Bear’ Season 2
Did you know Bob Odenkirk created the famous SNL skit “Da Bears“? It’s interesting to note that he has now joined the cast of the show “The Bear,” which happens to be my current favorite show. This is definitely exciting news for Bob Odenkirk fans.
It is currently unclear what role Odenkirk will play in The Bear, but it has been confirmed that it will only be a guest appearance. Therefore, it is unlikely that his character will become a recurring favorite like his previous character in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Nonetheless, his inclusion in the half-hour comedy-drama is an exciting development. The show follows Jeremy Allen White as a classically trained chef who returns to his hometown of Chicago to take over his late brother’s modest beef sandwich shop.
“The Bear” is set to premiere its second season in June with Jeremy Allen White playing the role of Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, an accomplished chef who returns to his family’s sandwich shop in Chicago after his older brother passes away. The show also features Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas, Edwin Lee Gibson, Corey Hendrix, Matty Matheson, Richard Esteras, and Jose M. Cervantes as the kitchen staff, adding to the chaos of the show. Abby Elliott plays the role of Carmy’s sister, Natalie, bringing a new dimension to the show.
