How much plastic do you drink daily? Concerning bottled water study will show you

Bottled water is not only bad for the environment but also potentially bad for your body. You are basically consuming microplastic when you drink water from a plastic bottle.

“One bottle of Nestle Pure Life that had over 10,000 microplastic particles per liter, far above the average.”

Many companies refuse to release their studies on microplastic particles per liter due to the fact that bottled water is valued globally at $147 billion per year in sales.

Just how much harm do microplastics to the human body is still not yet determined. Scientists say that 90% of ingested plastic can pass through the human body. Just how much can linger in the gut and lymphatic system is not yet conclusive.

“The World Health Organisation (WHO) has announced a review into the potential risks of plastic in drinking water after a new analysis of some of the world’s most popular bottled water brands found that more than 90% contained tiny pieces of plastic. A previous study also found high levels of microplastics in tap water.” (source)
